This is a build of a Lutheran church that was built in the early 1900’s. Being in service for 80+ years and standing for almost 120 years it has a lot of history. It has seen a town that was once a hub for local farmers and provided all the basic needs such as a bank, convenience store, black smith, curling rink, school, multiple grain elevators and lumberyards (which are all not in existence or not used for their intended purpose). There is still an active catholic church in town, I was told back in the day the Lutheran children could not hang out with the Catholic and vice versa. The pastors house was located on the property next to the church but has been torn down. The last service was in the mid 80’s and really had no purpose until I purchased in 2012. There is also a cemetery that I have no attachment too but there are a lot of tombstones from the early 1900’s. The church is approximately 35 minutes from my home in Moose Jaw, SK. My goal is to have a usable work space and return it to it’s original condition with the intention to get married in it one day.
