Whopper wednesday! I’m proud to say I just finished three whoppers and feel like shit, the best recovery option was a new post.

Last summer I came across a Datsun 521 as I adventured the streets of Moosejaw, I instantly fell in love.. felt obligated to meet the owner so I knocked on the door, brought me back to the days of door to door. Brennan, whom was the current owner wasn’t around so I bombarded his wife with questions regarding the truck.. the verdict was he JUST bought the truck and wasn’t selling anytime soon. But I got my foot in the door..

Almost 4 months later I had to get a bolt machined out of the head of my 7MGTE, I was recommended to check out Raven’s machining in town and it just happened to be owned by  the same dude that owns the Datsun. I left not only with a bolt-less head but a firm reminder if he ever sells the truck I better be told!

Xmas rolls around and I’m financially strapped, the perfect time to buy another vehicle… ..
I dwelled for days after brennan told me he was going to sell the truck for 2000, and I couldn’t gather the fund. I figured I would be kicking myself for the rest of my life if I didn’t make this work. but wait, I thought yolo motherfuckers and set up a payment plan, 5 installments of various payments ranging from 300-500.

Yesterday  took possession of the truck, and definitely put it to work as pictured below!
I finished off the day with a late night cruise and a growing passion for old school vehicles. I will definitely be purchasing a go-pro in the next couple weeks to give a sense of a ride-along in a 1971 Datsun 521.
